About Us

| Thursday 18 June 2009

Reetu and Pruthvi are two students of the ISB Class of 2010 who launched The Cold Call as a creative diary of their crazy B-school experiences and it was formally unleashed on the unsuspecting junta of Co2010 on a fine evening of June 18th 2009.

What is “The Cold Call”?
We wish it could be the answer to the ultimate question, but that slot has been taken by 42.

The Cold Call is a comic strip - an attempt to take-away most of our education in this new and highly-charged environment – albeit with the 5th dimension being humor!

Our idea is in a nascent stage and we will be building upon it as we go on. Comments and suggestions are welcome; we will live with the brickbats.

At the risk of being rude, let me tell you this is very ordinary stuff. There's nothing in the artwork nor in the dialogue that's interesting. Your friends might rave about this, but if they were honest they would tell you the same.
I know a thing or two about comic strips, and this stuff doesn't pass.
I suppose you could continue with this strip because it's fun, but don't fool yourself into thinking it's good.

I like the comics
You don't need to be Picasso to have perfect caricatures. As Scott Adams said, he never perfected drawing a "good looking woman" for his strip. Content matters... The artwork is the cherry on the cake, not the cake itself.
I stumbled across this blog - good effort, smart effort, keep it up and look at how you can take it to the next level. Good luck and with your job search too!

Hey Pru...plz change the colour of the comments. The colour of the background and the letters is quite close and it takes some effort to read. Using a colour which is different from the background will help the comments to stand out against the background. I feel this will improve readability. As always...keep up the good work!!

A mention of banana porial and snake-gourd porial will complete the strip!

The content is very entertaining and witty. I am an amateur cartoonist and contributed shared my two cents with this medium during my undergrad myself.

I am joining ISB for the next batch and I hope to continue the tradition. I might take the quality of the cartoons up a notch but matching the incisive wit will be a much tougher challenge.

I hope placements were good for both of you.
